GEOFF GEORGE dp
Geoff George is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles and Detroit. Born in Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of the University of Michigan, and heavily influenced by his Rust Belt roots, Geoff has created compelling images for feature films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries. After first working as a Camera Assistant under the guidance of ASC DP’s such as Benoit Debie, Larry Fong, and James Laxton, Geoff has DP’d for brands such as Nike, Timberland, Under Armour, Vice, Cadillac, Chevy, Ford Mustang, OnStar, the NFL, and musicians like Tinashe, Eminem, Danny Brown, Carpenter Brut, and Opeth. Geoff’s narrative DP credits include numerous shorts and three features — Stealing Jokes (2024), Ovid: The Art of Love (2019) and The Pickle Recipe (2016). With a keen eye for capturing cities and landscapes, he worked as 2nd Unit DP on Fall (2022) and It Follows (2014). He has served as a Camera Operator on IATSE Local 600 TV series and films, including Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2014), Bosch (2018-2021), and Beverly Hills Cop 4 (2024). In 2019 Geoff was a recipient of the Emerging Cinematographer Award from the International Cinematographer’s Guild for his work on the short film My Blood. In 2021 Raspberry, a short film DP’d by Geoff, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Since 2020, Geoff has focused in expanding experience and knowledge in Virtual Production including LED Volumes and car process work. Geoff is represented by Neer Agency in Los Angeles.
